Job title: Purchasing Manager

Job Responsibilities:

    • Working under general supervision, the Purchasing Manager is responsible for purchasing and expediting orders.
    • Maintaining vendors, items, and costs in our AS400 system.
    • The Purchasing Manager will maintain departmental procedures as needed, and be responsible for performing all clerical functions required within the purchasing department.
    • One key responsibility of this position will be coordinating inventory level requirements needed for our customers by working with sales, customer service, and by maintaining min/max levels.

     Qualifications, Skills & Expertise:

    • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration or similar major.
    • Minimum 1-2 years of office experience with a focus on purchasing or sales, including experience buying MRO products is helpful, but not required. Experience in using an ERP software system.
    • Using SOR Reports to order products.
    • Prior experience working with AS400 iSeries preferred.
    • Self-starter with excellent oral and written communication skills, negotiation and organizational skills.
    • Must be proficient in the use of computer software such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
